AGF aka Atye Greie

Antye Greie plays THX1138 by George Lucas. She already performed a LiveSoundtracks show in Barcelona (Spain) and Bari (Italy).

Antye Greie aka AGF is a composer, vocalist, producer, poet, and multimedia artist from East Germany. Greie has released approximately twenty albums and performed in a litany of institutions, museums, and other environments. Her emphasis lies on sound and language; on the depth of digital composition. Currently, she lives and works in Hailuoto, Finland.

The focus of her work includes the relationship between language and sound, live performance, and words or communication in the context of meaning versus meaninglessness. These themes are explored through studies including wordless singing, deconstruction of language, abstract poetry, digital/email or actual/physical collaboration, work on installations and commissions for movies and stage playes. AGF has performed all over the world including major art centers and auditoriums. Throughout her career, Greie has released 20 long player records and numerous collaborations under such aliases as AGF, AGF/ Delay (with Vladislav Delay), Greie Gut Fraktion (with Gudrun Gut), and The Lappetites (with Kaffe Matthews and Eliane Radigue), and with the award-winning classical composer Craig Armstrong. Greie also runs her own production company, AGF Producktion, and has produced records for numerous other artists, including Ellen Allien (Sool, 2009, BPitch).
